About Me
In classical Yoga, Dharma is defined as one’s duty or purpose. It is clear to me that my Dharma is to serve others. Although I have had many professional roles they have all involved serving others in some way. My first real job was a server in the food industry, work that I have done on and off for over 15 years. I then began helping youth in the public school setting both as a teacher and a guidance counselor.
Under the difficulty and stress of my work as a guidance counselor, I found my way to Yoga. My passion for Yoga and its ability to heal grew quickly. I completed my 200 hour Yoga teacher training from Well Heart Yoga. Soon after I started teaching yoga and completed several additional trainings, including a 300 hour Comprehensive Yoga Therapy through Yogalife Institute of NH. I continually seek out additional learning opportunities so that I can better serve my students and clients.
My yoga training was a catalyst to my deep interest, respect and curiosity around the human body and the many aspects of our being. This journey then led me to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki II Practitioner. This has both enhanced my knowledge and strengthened my curiosity of the human form. I am currently still serving others in a variety of ways. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki II Practitioner, Registered Yoga Teacher, all of which is on offer at In Touch Massage Therapy. I also continue to serve youth in my work at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford Counties. I am incredibly grateful for all my teachers, students and clients who have helped me to learn, grow and increase my understanding of this human experience.
